The Area
Ceglie Messapica
is only a 4 minute drive away, and its been named the foody capital of Puglia for its abundance of restaurants! Apparently there are over 79 to choose from. Its a sweet little hillside town with a beautiful central square and lots of little windy streets off it. Be sure to visit the Chapel. Some of our favourite restaurants are:

Ostuni
Rising high above the vast olive-carpeted plateau of the lower Murgia, Ostuni has long been an awe-inspiring sight for those travelling across Puglia. Strong defensive walls and tumbling clusters of white-washed houses wind around the hillside, at the top of which, proudly surveying the surrounding land, sits the magnificent Gothic cathedral. (The Thinking Traveller)
Some of our favourite restuarants are:
Cisternino
Unassuming, unpretentious and extremely local, Cisternino is one of Puglia’s best-kept secrets. With a laid-back atmosphere, more locals than tourists and a siesta time that seems to last an eternity, Cisternino Puglia is the place to come for a truly authentic southern Italian experience.
Located high on a hill, looking out over the trulli-filled Valle d’Itria, the white town of Cisternino has plenty to keep you busy for an afternoon, with the beautiful, narrow, labyrinth streets of the historic centre, local tavernas serving up the best Puglian dishes and some sublime views, its the perfect town to slow down, take it easy and live like a local

The Beaches
There are a wide range of beaches that we recommend visiting. This one pictured, Torre Pozelle, is our favourite secret spot! In the summer it does get very busy but towards the end of August much quieter. The sea is incredible..
Once booked we’ll send you a PDF with 5 other beaches to visit, ranging from smart beach clubs coves like this one.Â
